Our furniture can be used almost indefinitely, which means we save on the use of raw materials and pollutant emissions during production. At the repair shop, we maintain and repair each item in such a way that it looks brand new every time the furniture arrives at a new location. In addition, all returning furniture is thoroughly cleaned in our warehouse and we have our own logistics process which we optimize constantly.
We also structurally opt for environmentally friendly resources and materials and we keep a close eye on our business processes and we are constantly looking for opportunities to make our organization and our processes more sustainable.
What we cannot ignore, however, is transport. The emission of pollutants such as nitric oxide, carbon, carbon monoxide and many other pollutants is an immense problem. In any case, reducing harmful substances is our top priority. This is done in the following ways: The furniture is transported directly to the events and fairs. The shortest route is always selected. The vehicles we use always meet the required emission standards and the small vehicles we use are gradually being replaced by electromobility.
Sustainability is also considered when packaging our furniture for transport. All used packaging is reusable. The wooden pallets are also from certified and sustainable cultivation. The stretch film is made from 75% recycled plastic and the so-called eco-film that we use is 100% recyclable. When choosing our range, sustainability always plays an important role. We get all our furniture exclusively from Europe, so that the furniture always meets strict requirements with regard to sustainable production.
We also regularly visit our largest suppliers. We do this to get a better picture of the manufacturing processes. This way we better understand what the certificates of our suppliers are based on. Recycled materials from our furniture pieces will also play an increasingly important role. We have decided to ensure that 50% of our range consists of recycled materials for the next few years. That is why we are very happy with the LJ collection from DeVorm that we rent out. These furniture pieces are not only made from recycled PET bottles and recycled steel, they are very sturdy and stackable, which also makes them easy to transport and store. See the collection here.
