Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc is considered one of the most emblematic urban exhibition grounds in the world and was built in 1929 on the occasion of the International Exhibition. Its seven halls combine the continuation of the fair tradition with an infrastructure suitable for all types of events. It is in an excellent location in the city centre, easily accessible from the airport and well connected to public transport. It is located in Montjuïc Park, an area of cultural and historical interest thanks to its museums and theaters, and it also boasts some of the most important tourist attractions in Barcelona. The Montjuïc site houses the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona conference center, which has a large auditorium for more than 1,600 people, independent conference rooms and exhibition spaces. The project to remodel the Montjuïc site is currently being studied to adapt it to the new cultural exhibition spaces for use by the city, with a view to 2029, the centenary of the 1929 International Exhibition.
