Brussels Expo has a prestigious past. Indeed, the infrastructure of the Exhibition Halls is a legacy of the Brussels World’s Fairs of 1935 and 1958. The Art Deco buildings bear witness to the exceptional architecture that developed in Brussels in the 1930’s. The infrastructure has been expanded over the years to meet the needs of the market and reach 115,000 m2, the largest infrastructure of its kind in Belgium. Palace 5 is the symbolic figure, as well as the adjacent palaces built around the water chamber.

In 2013, Palace 12 was completely converted into a high-level concert and performance hall, which can also serve as a large-capacity conference hall. The opening of Palace 12 marked a turning point in Brussels Expo’s activities, which now include an “entertainment” hub.

In 2015, Brussels Expo announced major investments in the renewal of its infrastructure, mainly to improve the comfort and welcome of the public.
The Brussels Expo Group is made up of several subsidiaries which allows the Group to diversify its activities between three sectors (Exhibitions and Salons, MICE and Leisure) and two professions (Venue Management and Organization).

Brussels Expo, created after the 1935 World’s Fair, is the cornerstone of the Group. Its purpose is to create a place for meetings and activities of an economic, commercial, industrial, scientific, cultural and leisure nature. Brussels Expo is the Belgian leader in terms of exhibition space. Its responsibilities include managing the goods and services related to the “Palais des Expositions”, “Palais 12” (concert hall) and the “La Madeleine” concert hall.

Moreover, the NEO project, which aims at transforming the Brussels Expo district into a new place of life, offers enormous opportunities to establish itself as the place of choice for the general public for any type of event. It will also enable Brussels Expo to become even more competitive in the MICE sector by providing the group with a third infrastructure, an international convention center, to complement its existing activities.
