Gamescom is an annual event that acts as a central platform for the European computer and video game industry. The fair brings together retail, trade and the media and provides the ideal setting for connecting business relationships. It is the world’s largest event for computer and video games. Pure gaming, entertainment, business, inspiration and innovation, you can find it all at Gamescom. Test the latest games and discover the newest trends at the biggest event in the gaming industry. Gamescom is open to consumers and trade visitors. There will be various exhibitors from the following product segments: hardware, software, merchandising, care cleaning and repair, telecommunications and Internet, media, basic and advanced training, associations and government institutions, service providers and developers. The exhibitors focus on the following target groups, among others: suppliers of the product segments, end users, retailers, distributors, remote sellers, import and export companies, manufacturers, developers, service providers and associations.
Gamescom takes place in the Koelnmesse Cologne, Germany. It is an annual event which was first held in 2009 with 120,000 M2 of floor space. And has since attracted some 373,000 visitors in an exhibition area of 218,000 M2 with more than 1150 exhibitors in total. That is double the floor space! An integral part of Gamescom are various shows such as the ‘Retro Gaming Show’. At a joint booth, several dozen collectors, clubs, hobbyists, developers and artists display the history and culture of computer games. Historic retro gaming game systems can be tried out on more than 200 screens. Some smaller stages offer interviews, lectures, quizzes and live music.
